A “Delhi Police Job Fair-2018” was held at New Police Lines, Kingsway Camp, Delhi on 1st December, 2018, in partnership with Axis Bank under the aegis of Welfare Wing of Delhi Police and Police Families Welfare Society (PFWS). The President PFWS, Smt. SuchanaPatnaik and the Commissioner of Delhi Police, Sh. AmulyaPatnaik were the Chief Guests of the opening and closing ceremonies of the event. Smt. Suchana Patnaik, President PFWS, inaugurated the Fair by a formal ribbon cutting ceremony joined by the Spl. CP/ P&L and Welfare, Sh. Nithianandam, Jt. CP/SR, Sh. Devesh Shrivastava and other team leaders of PFWS and officials of Delhi Police. This was followed by felicitation ceremony, addresses by the President PFWS and officials of Delhi Police & Axis Bank. Total 128 Corporate Entities, as employers, participated in the event for more than 8000 candidates who had registered for the jobs in different age categories. After screening held prior to the fair, more than 3000 candidates qualified who had appeared for the interview, out of which 1600 had been called for next round of interview. After a day-long round of interviews, in the evening, closing ceremony was held. The Commissioner of Delhi Police, Sh. Amulya Patnaik mentioned in his address that we understand the paucity of time for the guidance to their wards due to demanding nature of the work of our police personnel. It is essential that Delhi Police always take a step forward to mitigate the challenge. The Chief Guest handed over 60 “Job Offer Letters” to selected candidates and also presented mementoes to Axis Bank officials and acknowledged the participation of other Corporate Entities.
